This was a very well written book. I can't say too much because spoilers, but basically the author drops you in the middle of Breq's story and only gives you clues here and there about what is actually going on. The story jumps from the present where Breq is on a quest of vengeance to the past and shows you how the ai was betrayed. I especially loved Berq and Seivarden's relationship, they start out as antagonistic strangers and grow into loyal allies (while still pretending not to like each other although they really do). I highly recommend it.
